GENERAL RULES !

Respect. Respect is a big one, and it applies to everyone. You must respect the other members, the staff and even the guests who criticize the site on the cbox. Yes, even them. If you don't respect the members and staff, you will probably be asked to cool off or leave. Do as we ask or you will be banned. Maybe forever, maybe a few days. Depends on how bad the violation.

Swearing. It's okay in character, I could care less, and in the cbox and out of character, guess what? It's absolutely fine too because if you can't handle 'bad language' then you can leave, kapeesh?

Away. If you have to leave for a few days or leave completely, please let us know! If you are absent for over 20 days we will delete your account to help prevent having too many unused accounts. You can come back and sign up, but may not get anything back. If you get deleted, we are bound to remove all of your posts and characters.

Spam. Yeah, no. Spam doesn't work for us here at Bakari. Post once, and edit the post if need be. And don't fill the cbox up with random little sayings that bother everyone: this includes lyrics. Ricochet is bound to throw a fit if she sees random lyrics all over her cbox. No advertising either! But Rico can spam as much as she likes. You know why? She's creator. October can also spam as much as she likes. You know why? She's graphics coordinator, and Rico loves her very much.

ACCOUNTS !

Usernames. Please, please don't have tons of numbers and symbols. Keep it simple, easy and short. No long 'Super Hero Fish Head Bob057585^#^&#$&@#' crap or anything like that. Make it short, sweet and what you'd like to be called. Also, don't go changing it randomly. We will know you by that name and if you change it around, it becomes confusing. Aslo, keep the names original and not the same as ten other people. Twenty 'Simba's and 'Nala's will drive me nuts, and I will personally change your name. This means one account per person.

Avatars. No wider than 140, and no taller than 280. Please and thanks dearies. <3

Signatures. Siggies must be a reasonable size. If found that they stretch the boards you will be asked to edit it's size. If you take no action, I will remove your signature completely. Please understand, huge signatures make the site look tacky and... off. Really. (: Anyways, bigger than 500 px wide is stretching it.

CHARACTER RULES !

Character limit. We have none, at the moment, but if your characters go inactive, we will ask you give some up, or delete them altogether. I don't like seeing more than six characters per person, but I will accept it if you keep active.

Perfection. No perfect characters! Everyone has a weakness, a flaw, etc. If we read a bio and find it to be suggesting at such perfection then you will be declined.

We are realistic... well, for the most part! Odd coat colors are a big no no - in the sense that we'll allow a white lion every now and then, but not a pink one - but odd eye colors are absolutely fine. .

IN CHARACTER !

Writing. We do ask that you roleplay in the THIRD PERSON and in the PAST TENSE. It's generally more interesting to read than 'I' or 'Me' all the time. However if you feel more comfortable in first person I will allow it.

God-Moding. NO GOD-MODING! Everyone gets hurt or even killed at sometime in their lives. Nothing is more annoying than a character that constantly overpowers the other and manages to dodge every single attack. If you are seen doing this, you will be punished without warning.

Powerplaying. No Powerplaying - This means posting the other persons actions in your post. This is unfair and really quite annoying. If you have the other persons permission, then it will be okay. Other than that, don't do it!

Love. Please don't have threads where two characters immediately fall in love. This sort of thing takes time so we suggest you have at least one full thread before even letting the characters consider falling for each other. Your character must also fall in love with someone else's. You cannot have two of your own characters breeding.

Be realistic. When it comes to big cats, we know they often like to breed when and where they like. However please be fairly realistic. For example, a caracal and a tiger would be physically impossible to breed naturally together. This is a realistic roleplay afterall. However, lions and tigers may breed together, as - to my knowledge, if you know of other interspecies matings that occur please PM me to let me know - as this has happened before, many a time actually. I like seeing ligers running around (:

Word Count. Please make sure you post 250 words or more. Be creative and descriptive to help fill the space. If you need help, ask someone. We are here to help you.

Liquid Time. We allow liquid time. So feel free to post your character in up to 4 posts. Any more and you must wait until a previous thread has been finished or removed. Any more than this and it can get quite confusing and hard for you to keep up with your posts.



BREEDING AND BATTLES !


We allow breeding but please don't be too graphic. Just the basics are fine. Also put some sort of warning in the title if it is going to contain breeding, for our younger members.

Pleasure breeding is allowed, but if you wish the breeding to create cubs then please go to the cub creation board and fill in the necessary form to create your cubs.

Birthing is allowed whenever it is shown in the sideboard. So please wait until it is available.

Fighting is allowed casually, however if it is over something important, for example pride leadership, please contact me or another staff member and allow us to judge it fairly.

Remember to allow your character to get hurt, it helps keep things realistic.

Fighting allows FOUR posts per player. Two attacks and two dodges.

If it is a pride fight please ensure equal sides. For example 2x2 etc. You are only allowed 3x1 or something if there is a trespasser on your lions land. Even then, the trespasser has the right to leave the thread and 'save' their character.

Lions can only die in battle if their roleplayer is gives consent.



PRIDES !


Currently, males that wish to start prides must be at least four.

Even though we humans are all about equality, in the savannah, it's a man's world. Sure, lionesses are treated with enough respect, but it's the male lions that lead the prides. The female heirachy is something else completely, usually the older females being higher ranked, and lionesses related to the dominant male of the pride tend to be a little more respected as well.

Dominant males will post a stickied thread in their territory about their rules. So please read and respect them.
