This magnificent land is surely a thriving spot, and any pride would be lucky to snag it. There is a large kjope that looms over the terrain, but not in a menacing way. Oh no, in fact, it looks rather majestic, and is capable of providing shelter and comfort for a big pride if it needed to, the cave system within the kjope really providing the lions with a home. The territory is rich in foliage, with plenty of trees scattered across the territory, and a small, thin but clear river runs through, expanding in width during the wet season and thinning down to almost nothing during the dry season, when the savannah is prone to drought. The territory is named 'Mabruke', because it really was a blessing to Jabari and his mother, Taabu, when they came across it.

Sinai Karoo is a truly breathtaking place. It contradicts itself throughout its lands, painting upon a larger canvas of beauty. It better resembles a scrub land than the typical savannah - built with hard-gravel earth that is capable of spawning beautiful clutches and patches of flowers and and other foliage. Purples and yellows and golds scatter endless across the flatter ground of the Karoo in the more productive seasons while snow accompanies the earth in winter. The climbing area of the Karoo grows into formidable hills/mountains and small, steep valleys between that cradle springs from the occasional rain. The fields and hills are doused with grass and other wild flowers, painting a much less harsh sight of land.
There is a single tear in the rougher land that tears across the territory like a small "chasm" indent. When in the wet season, inhabitants look to it for accessible water.

This large, arid scrubland provides home to quite a few apex predators, therefore it is almost always teaming with life. Thankfully, the cat's do not suffer because there is normally a decent water supply available - unless they are hit with a particularly nasty drought - and this in turn attracts prey for them to feed from. Unlike the other lands, the savannah is huge, and there is room for several successful prides to accomodate it and not have to fight over territory. Although, some do anyway, because they're plain greedy. Ah well, it makes life far more interesting, don't you think? Acacia trees and patches of elephant grass are scattered here and there, along with many other types of flora, to provide shade and comfort for the inhabitants of this large, sparse plain. |
