Walk. Walk. Walk. That was pretty much all the poor cheetah had done ever since that fateful day... The first time she had been out on her own she'd nearly died, being so used to being told what to do all the time. Being free and on her own had been almost too much to bear, however, she had survived and was growing more used to making her own choices; not that she particularly liked that... However, even if she was growing somewhat used to her independence she would never be fully adapted to living on her own and if she didn't find someone else to help her in life she would surely die. The cheetah knew this which was why some would call her clingy and annoying, but she didn't mind... She'd find someone eventually... hopefully...
The scruffy cheetah placed each foot down alternatively, keeping a nice speed going. Although where she was going was unknown to her, she was walking just to be doing it. She had no purpose really in life now, it was just live and go by the small impulses she received when she scented prey or carrion. If she didn't have these impulses she would have starved already as she didn't really know how to properly hunt... She had just done what the leader said. The cheetah's head shook and her distant eye misted over in sadness... Leader... Leader, were like father this one never had... Now is all ruined... Am, am sorry... Wish could go back... The cheetah paused as her legs were starting to hurt, but no, she had to keep going. She needed to keep walking... But... why? She allowed herself to drop onto her tired haunches giving into the needs of her sore paws. She had been walking for nearly a day with no reprieve, she had yet to even eat as no scent of prey had crossed her path to awaken her hunting instinct and without that hunting instinct she would start to death. She was unlike any other cat in the fact that she wouldn't hunt if her stomach growled because back in the "family" they were sometimes not allowed to eat until those of higher ranks had finished... Many times the cheetah had gone without a meal... And that's what she was using in her life now. Now as she gazed around with her one good eye, she wished with all her heart that she was back where things made sense and the days were easier...
