Tekari rested comfortably in a tall tree, hind leg dangling below the tree branch, and front paws crossed in front of her chest. She was content and happy that the weather was unusually warm today. She closed her eyes, thankful for the shade that the leaves provided to protect her from the blazing sun above, but glad that the warm still soaked into her pelt. Her belly rumbled loudly. With long sigh and a large yawn, she carefully stood up and climbed her way back down the tree, leaving claw marks down the bark. She pricked her ears and looked around the area, hoping to find a little snack before her stomach scared away every piece of prey around. Walking silently a little ways away from her resting tree, she spotted a bird, pecking at the ground for seeds or insects. She dropped down on her belly and slowly crept forward. When she had just a short distance to go, she pounced, killing the creature with a bite to the neck. She smiled and crouched down to eat. After finishing her meal, she cleaned up herself, stretched and decided to take a walk. Her paw steps were light and bouncy as she followed down a narrow path. ~Terrible first post DX~ ::Tekari~ ~I wish that I could fly, Way up in the sky, Like a bird so high, Oh I might just try.

Thinking "Speaking"
The world around the young handsome yet, wonderous Ocelot seemed peacefull, like in a fairy tale or something. No drama to be passed, no lies that hurt. Chye looked at the sky, to his supprise it was moving very slowly, not that the pupa didn't know the world spun he just didn't want the beautiful day to end.
Chye laid high in a tree. As he heard the steps of another cat possible? He threw his head back, took a breath in and smelled for a sign of what might be around the corner. He smiled at the scent of another Ocelot. The young male leaped from branch to branch till the point of witch the long truck sang. Though he wasn't afraid of it, Chye just didn't really like going down the truck cause of what happened with one of his brothers. He inched his way down the truck, digging his nails farther into the truck with every chance he could. Chye wondered, searching for a possible friend, as he search he came across a tree with claw marks, he grinned with butterflys in his stomach. Could he possible find another Ocelot after serval months of aloneness? Chye pured with happiness.

There was a definite sense of relief when the cougar stepped into the shadows of the trees. The clearing he had been lying in had become increasingly hot, and in the time he had dozed off, it had begun to sear in the heat. It was at this point that the icy orbs had opened and the beast had gotten to his feet. The air was expelled from his lungs in a sigh as Avalon padded lithely into the cooler shade, the dryness of his throat increasingly annoying. Ears pricked, the mahogany creature listened for the tell-tale trickle of a stream. Only the chirping of birds graced his audits.
Powerful limbs transported the body forward in a slow walk, great paws making no sound on the soft forest floor. The long tail trailed behind him, blackened tip held off the ground in a relaxed way. The muscles rippled under his short pelt as he roamed deeper into the woods, in search of water. The loner was glad that he hadn't met any cats yet. He disliked company of any except those few who didn't get on his nerves. His head raised high, the male listened to the scurrying of small creatures around him, shifting through the sounds until he found what he sought. The crystalline sound of water running in a cascade.
It didn't take long for him to find the much needed stream. He bent his head to lap some of the clear, cold water, revelling in it's coolness as it slid down his throat. He looked up, having drunk his fill. Another sound touched his ears. That of paw steps, faintly, as if it were far away. Curiosity awakened, but not wishing to talk, he followed the sound of the steps. They sounded small and light, as if the creature that produced them was small. Probably some smaller cat, he thought with a shrug before he lay down in the shadow of a tree. He listened to the sound, as it was coming closer. Another set of paw steps joined the first, farther in the woods. Great, there's two, he thought, as a sigh escaped his lips. Unfortunately, they were heading right towards him, and he didn't like it.
Little did he want to move to avoid them, and so he lay there and listened to their paw steps getting closer. They were very much smaller than he was, so they couldn't bother him too much. So he lay there, listening to the padding of paws getting closer, ice-locked orbs waiting for the moment the little creatures would come into view.

The female ocelot stopped herself when she heard the sound of more paws steps. Two pairs, but one had stopped only after a short time after it started, and the other was still moving. She breathed in deeply, and was confused for a moment. Another ocelot? She tilted her head and turned around. She was correct; it was, indeed another ocelot. A male to be exact. She smiled a little bit. She hadn't really be around any males since her younger days, and those males were her bothers. She sat down, watching the other cat, with her slightly fluffy tail wrapped around her paws. She studied the male hard; his pelt, his movements, the way his muscles rippled underneath his pelt. She shook her head. 'Maybe the heat is messing with my head right now. I hardly ever study other ocelots like this!' She thought. She looked at him again; he seemed happy to see her for some reason. She was confused. 'Why would he be happy to see me? We've never met before. Well, better not seem rude.' She smiled and spoke, "Hello there, how's it going? Good, I hope." Her voice was gentle, with no hint of aggression in it. She didn't want to scare the poor cat away. Plus she could use a friend, it got rather boring lazing around with no one to talk to or keep you company.
