Taja plodded thought the grass. It seemed much shorter here than a few hundred yards back, but it was slow in it's decline. It felt as if she were being watched, not surprising since she had crossed a pride's boarders. A shoot of ice cold fear crept down her spine, but still she plodded along. The herds were moving and she had to cross this territory to continue on. She sighed and thought about how beautiful this area was, how good of a proximity it was o where the herds migrated across the plains. Taiga's steps hurried. She felt too out in the open here, alone as she was, in a possible enemy territory. The thought hadn't crossed her mind to ask to join this pride, though the idea would be welcomed if it was bought up. Taja had been a loner for too long for her tastes.
Her large pads suddenly came to a stop. The wind had changed. Her tail whipped back and forth nervously. She could smell a fellow lion, not the faint way she had earlier, but fresh and live. Sniffing the air softly, Taja once agian set out, a little quicker this time. Maybe they hadn't noticed! Yeah that's it, they hadn't noticed. She was fine, she was in the heart of the lands now, she just had a bit more to go and she would be out, free to hunt and free from this danger. Heart beating almost from her chest, Taja kept her brain calm. She could handle a lion or two, if they weren't too angry at her for trespassing, but it wasn't like she was a male. She was a trooper, she would survive.
