The large tigress ingressed through the jungle, rounded auds twitching to every bird call, snake slither, and monkey hoot that surrounded her. The jungle was rather empty of cats and that made her somewhat sad. She wanted someone to converse with, but she might have no such luck. Opening her powerful jaws, she let out a medium sized roar to any cat that might have escaped her sights or her smell. It sounded almost desperate and as much as she was independent, she was just lonely now so she didn't care how she sounded. Hopefully a male would take pity on her and accompany her. That would be nice. It would make her irritated if he just ignored her cries and went on. Then she would have to go after him.
A toucan sung its song on a low branch, and the tigress looked up longingly. If only she could jump up there to eat it. She was sure it would taste delicious. Her pupils narrowed at the phsyical obstacle she couldn't overcome. If she tried, then the stupid thing would just fly away. And she would have embarrassed herself while trying. So might as well not even try at all, just sit there and look pretty.
She moved on, stealthily and came across a small herd of tapirs. They would be fun to chase and hunt down, but she was feeling rather full right now, and didn't want to kill one just for sport. That would be pointless, besides she didn't have anyone to show it off to or offer it up for. So that wouldn't do either.

Deep though the jungle a large Siberian tiger stalked. His paws landed silently on the forest floor, as he looked at a particularly large specimen of dragonfly. This guy would be lovely to eat, it would help him sate his almost constant hunger. For some reason or other he hardly got full whenever he ate bugs and fish, he had to eat almost five times as much as his sister. This small fact always made him a little wistful although it never lasted for long, he enjoyed eating bugs immensely. Now he just had to get this one... just a little closer... closer... and- suddenly a shadow flew by in front of his vision and the dragonfly was gone. The tiger let out a grunt of confusion as he looked around. What had just taken his prey? He didn't have to worry long before he saw a rust-colored cat sitting in a tree branch right above his head. The dragonfly he had just stalked was grasped in her mouth.
"Aww, Tura, that was mine..." He complained. His stomach gave an angry growl almost sounding as if it was backing up his words. The small feline in the tree put the dead bug on her branch and laughed. "Sorry, little brother, but you have to be quicker than that!"

[/b] Tura started to eat the bug but she saw the saddened look on Tugg's features, so she relented and threw the bug down to him. "You better be glad we're related and I care about your health!" Tugg caught the dragonfly in his large mouth and ate it in one bite. His tongue ran once around his lips before he lowered his head to snuffle for some more bugs. "Are you ever-" A roar sounded in the air catching the rusty-spotted cat's attention. Tugg raised his head and looked fearful. "Oh my... I wonder what that was..." The tiger's fur bristled fearfully and he tried to back away from the sound. "I don't know... And I don't want to find out either..." Tura rolled her eyes and pricked her ears in the direction of the roar and rose to her feet. "Tura, please, I don't want to-" "Aww, Tuggy, don't be such a scaredy cat. Just come into the trees and whatever it is will have a hard time getting to you." Tugg gulped but was sure that his sister's advice was right, so he climbed the large tree that Tura was in; thankful that the jungle grew great large trees with large boughs. Hopefully, he wouldn't end up breaking a limb today... Tura set off and dutifully, Tugg followed at a slower pace. Ever careful of stepping on a loose or small branch, he really didn't feel like falling out of a tree today... Soon, he saw Tura hold up her tail for him to stop and he did. "Hey, Tuggy, you're still hungry aren't you?" The cat asked in a whisper. Tugg bobbed his head up and down. "Then stay here, I just found a bird..." Within moments Tura had vanished between the leaves and then Tugg heard the sound of a surprised squawk that was abruptly cut off. Tura had just killed a bird and he was about to follow her when he heard his sister speak. "Well well well, what have we here?" The rusty-spotted cat had just seen the female tiger sitting down on the ground. Her eyes raked over the feline's form as she waited for a response from the cat. Not wanting his sister to be in any danger Tugg followed his sister out onto her branch. The bird, which had been a toucan, was sitting next to her but what caught Tugg's attention the most was the tigress on the ground. Fear woke inside him until he realized that tigers couldn't climb trees, at which he felt relief. However, he still warily watched what he didn't even know was of his real species... She had heard the small voice of something, though she wasn't quite sure who or what it was for that matter. It floated down to her from a tree branch above. She looked up, and saw a small cat. A threatening growl escaped her now open maw. The cat was food, as far as she was concerned and she had no idea what it was doing out in the wild. Where was it's human? Surely it wouldn't survive by itself out here, it was pretty much a tiger, and whatever else animal snack.
She heard another sound, and turned her head to face where the sound was coming from. Her pupils widened at the sight. A tiger, in the trees? How in the hell was that possible? This was freaking rediculous. She stood up and stalked her way toward the enormous tree. Lifting herself up she brought her enormous paws up upon the trunk and looked up. The cat was safely out of reach, to her dismay and the tiger was also as well. This male just confused the hell out of her. He wasn't acting normal. The pair seemed bonded, and that must be how the kittypet was surviving. But the stranger aspect of it was that the tiger seemed to think he was as small and nimble as the house cat, which was just plain absurd.
She finally found her voice, though she wasn't at all sure what to say exactly. She was mystified, to say the least. "Cat, you are lucky that you are in that branch. As far as your male, how did he even get up there?" She didn't address the tiger, as he seemed less than competent. He was acting like a 'fraidy cat, and that just plain turned her off. Tigers were supposed to be strong, and confident, not acting like an under socialized house cat!

"Cat, you are lucky that you are in that branch. As far as your male, how did he even get up there?" The tigress below them didn't even address Tugg, which was fine by him. He was too busy concentrating on not falling out of the tree which was hard in itself as every time he shifted his weight the branch would give a disturbing creak. Tura gave him a warning glance, which he took to heart and sat still. If he fell out of the tree he would be within reach of the tigress, so it was better to not put to much stress on the limb.
Tura wrinkled her nose and gave the tiger below them a glare. She didn't like how the other tiger spoke and wanted to go down and give her a few swipes across the muzzle. However, something in the back of her mind whispered that that would be suicide so she should just stay out of reach. Besides, words could do a lot of damage. "Oh, I do consider myself lucky as trees keep my pretty self from having to meet cats like you too often." Tura lashed her tail, happy at her smart retort. "And he got up here the same way I did, he climbed. Don't tell me you're too stupid to realize that, mush-brain." To her, Tugg was just a rather large member of her species. She was completely unaware of the tigress's valid argument against why the male was in the trees.
Tugg peered down at the tigress and wondered if the she would now try to get to them. He hoped not, he didn't think that he could run away too quickly while in the high boughs. Last time he had tried it hadn't ended too well for him... However, he had a feeling that if this feline tried the ascent then Tura would try some sort of attack, stupid as he thought that was he knew his sister well.
